I think our “Democracy” needs a “Reboot”

I think our “Democracy” needs a “Reboot”. Our country has evolved over the past 250 years into something that our founding fathers would have fought against as hard as they fought against the British for our freedom from a “King”.

The degree of utter depravity and assault against our constitution began in Vietnam. The atrocities that were committed against the Vietnamese people by our government and its allies were the beginning of the end of our democratic republic, along with the assassination of JFK in 1963.

On March 16, 1968 the angry and frustrated men of Charlie Company, 11th Brigade, Americal Division entered the Vietnamese village of My Lai. “This is what you’ve been waiting for — search and destroy — and you’ve got it,” said their superior officers.

A short time later the killing began. When news of the atrocities surfaced, it sent shockwaves through the U.S. political establishment, the military’s chain of command, and an already divided American public.

As the “search and destroy” mission unfolded, it soon degenerated into the massacre of over 300 apparently unarmed civilians including women, children, and the elderly.

Lieutenant William Calley Jr., ordered his men to enter the village firing, though there had been no report of opposing fire. According to eyewitness reports offered after the event, several old men were bayoneted, praying women and children were shot in the back of the head, and at least one girl was raped and then killed.

For his part, Calley was said to have rounded up a group of the villagers, ordered them into a ditch, and mowed them down in a fury of machine gun fire.

Twenty-six soldiers were charged with criminal offenses, but only Lieutenant William Calley Jr., the leader of 1st Platoon in C Company, was convicted. He was found guilty of murdering 22 villagers and originally given a life sentence but served three-and-a-half years under house arrest after his sentence was commuted

Every war that the United States has fought in since then has continued to escalate the insane violence and atrocious crimes against humanity. It wasn’t just the war crimes committed in the My Lai massacre. Our brave Air Force carpet bombed regardless of how many innocent people were killed.

Fast forward. What we have been witnessing In this most recent conflict against Iran is THE most horrific display of insanity since the Vietnam War. The level of insanity like the deliberate bombing of the girls school in Minab, Iran was a whole new level of war crime, which killed over one hundred young girls, (estimates vary on the number of young girls aged 7 to 12 that were killed).

The vast majority of the U. S. Population as well as the rest of the world consider what the United States and Zebrael has done is not just war crimes, but crimes against humanity.

Too bad the ICC doesn’t have a military attachment to help bring all the war criminals like Trump and most of his cabinet, as well as Netandblowhole and his colleagues to justice.

Yes, the November elections don’t mean shit as far as I’m concerned. Democrats versus Republicans. Two wings of the same Turkey Vulture. What our country needs is a complete “Reboot” to bring us back to something that our founding fathers expected when they wrote the constitution.
