Sticks & Stones may break my bones…….BUT

STICKS AND STONES MAY BREAK MY BONES BUT WORDS WILL NEVER HARM ME – Unknown. This is a quote from my childhood (1950’s).

Something we used to say as kids when the bully was screaming that he was going to rip my head off and s*it down my neck (seconds before he broke my nose and stuffed me in my locker).

I don’t think that this is what Einstein was thinking about when he said the following: “I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones”.

He made this statement in 1949, a time of growing nuclear tension, as a warning about the devastating potential of nuclear war.

The quote suggests that a third world war would be so destructive it would send civilization back to a primitive state, leaving only basic tools like sticks and stones for any subsequent conflict.

I believe that it’s not going to come down to this. Call me crazy, but preface that word with “Optimistically”.

For those of you suffering from Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED), Anti-Social Personality Disorder (ASPD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), or another mental condition that keeps you from reading anything longer than three words, I will summarize it for you.

Although the “Doomsday Clock” currently is at 89 seconds to Midnight, and it seems like the world is going to h&ll in a handbasket, I believe that even IF there IS a devastating nuclear war as Einstein was referring to, there will be survivors.

Those survivors will still have technology on their side, and we will ALL be united, ( those that survive), worldwide, together as a unified people, who WILL continue on AND……And it’s a BIG AND…..Reach beyond our planet.
